Named in memory of her dear friend, Milton Yeary, Camp Milt began as a dream in the mind of Karen Thomas as she used her love of horses to reach out to those otherwise limited by conventional methods of healing. Equine therapy is a proven method of both mental and physical healing.
Karen and husband Jim Thomas own and operate the camp, which is situated on over 20 acres in St. James, Missouri. Camp Milt offers a serene setting with a 4-acre stocked lake, sand-filled riding arena, and a respite for all ages suffering from illness and disabilities.
Camp Milt is not for profit* and is 100% FREE to families. The camp operates every weekend, April through October. Special weekday trips can be arranged in advance by calling the camp. Day camps include:
- Horseback Riding

NOTE: An adult chaperone must be present during visit for children under the age of 13 and for those requiring special care or assistance. If you have questions, please contact the Camp to clarify.
